General Service Medal Northern IrelandThe General Service Medal with Northern Ireland Clasp was awarded for 30 days service between 14th August 1969 and 31st July 2007. The General Service Medal 1962 2007, also referred to as The Campaign Service Medal replaced the GSM (Army & RAF) and the Navy GSM in 1964 and was backdated to December 1962 to cover the Borneo campaign. This was the longest running operation in the history of UK forces.
